Quinn laughed at Sam’s comment. Picking Carter up and holding him in her arms, she said, “They love us equally. They just prefer me to hold them because my chest is nice and it doesn’t feel as if they’re cuddling a rock.” Quinn looked down at Carter, making faces at the boy as he grinned widely. “Not that I’m complaining about your chest. You know I love it. The kids don’t. They prefer mine.”

“I don’t blame them,” Sam said, leaning towards Quinn and placing a kiss at her pulse point, secretly glancing down at her cleavage. “Your chest is amazing,” he mumbled, licking his lips before feeling a hand pushing against his chest. He chuckled and pulled back to a squealing Laura who’d been wedged between her parents. “Sorry baby girl,” he said, kissing the girl’s head. He watched Quinn with both of the kids and grinned before laying down on his back. “We’re gonna do alright with the next one, right?” he asked, smiling as Laura went on and on about Barbie dolls. “We’ve done good so far… We’ll be okay.”

Quinn giggled as Laura pushed her daddy away, trying to wriggle out from between her parents. “We’ll do great. We’ve done wonderfully so far. Look at these two.” Quinn ran her fingers through Laura’s wavy hair. “So, I was thinking… Tomorrow morning we wake up early and squeeze in a morning quickie. You know how much I like morning…” Quinn raised an eyebrow then giggled.

…………..I will take complete care of the dog.

…on second thought, let’s wait until the kids are older and they can do it too.

Alright. Your choice. I’m hoping one of the kids is allergic to dogs so we can’t get one.

collegeboy-sam:

it’s fine..

We could get a dog. But later.

…unless you promise me that you’ll take complete care of the dog.

Laura woke up, needing her sippy cup. Sam went downstairs to get it, the girl talking to Quinn about Barbies. Quinn loved that Laura was such a girly girl. Being almost 100% Sam, she thought that the girl might become a tomboy, who was into all the nerdy things that her dad was into. But quite contrary. She was a girly girl, like her mom, and Quinn was glad about that. “How about we go into town soon and we buy you a new Barbie doll? What do you say?” Quinn asked, kissing the little girl’s forehead.

As Quinn and Laura spoke, the little girl so excited about getting a new Barbie doll from her mom, Sam just watched with a happy loving smile. He heard Carter crying from across the hall and quickly went to go and get him. Walking into the room with the boy, who had calmed down when his dad lifted him from the crib, Sam slid under the covers beside his two girls and laid a still sleepy looking Carter on his chest, the little boy looking at his mother and instantly reaching for her. “They love you more than me,” Sam fake pouted and Carter crawled over himself and Laura—who was not amused by her little brother climbing over her—and into Quinn’s lap, saying “Mommah, mommah,” as he reached for her to hold him in her arms.

Quinn laughed at Sam’s comment. Picking Carter up and holding him in her arms, she said, “They love us equally. Quinn smiled as Sam entered the room. “Hey, babe.” she whispered. “She’s great, she’s perfect.” Quinn closed her eyes and let out a breath. Leaning over Laura, she kissed Sam’s lips then forced her eyes open to look at her husband. “I’ve never loved you more.”

Sam smiled at his wife, hearing her talk about how their baby girl was perfect. Meeting her lips once more, he sighed softly. “I love you too,” he said. He said that a lot but his most favorite moments with Quinn was regarding their children. She always had a beautiful glow to her when it came to the children. “She really is beautiful,” he whispered, running his fingers through the little girl’s wild curls. She cuddled up closer to her mother in her sleep, mumbling, “Momma… Ah’m thursty..” Sam laughed, kissing the wild head of hair before slipping out of bed and running downstairs to get the little girl a drink. When he returned, Laura was awake and chatting with her mother about Barbie dolls when Sam brought her her sippy cup with some milk. “Here you go, baby girl,” he said, smiling as she took it and thanked him. “Thank ew dawdy.”
